The International Summer School on PEM Fuel Cells applications and integration will take place on 19-23 July 2010 in the city centre campus of Istanbul Technical University. Organised by the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the Institute for Energy (IE) in cooperation with UNIDO-ICHET, this summer school will address science and fundamentals of material science and electrochemistry applied to PEM fuel cells. Particular attention will be given to applications and system integration.This is a lecture series addressing researchers, students and research fellows working in the fuel cell research and applications. A selection of international experts from Academia, Industry and Research Centres will provide the audience with technical lectures.
The Conference will pursue the exchange of best practices between EU and the East and South Mediterranean countries for scientific and technical education-industry cooperation and propose a platform of dialog for QA harmonization.

From 31 of May until 2 of June 2010, the 8 thInternational Symposium on the Conservation of Monuments in the Mediterranean Basin will take place in Patras, Greece.
This International Symposium will provide a forum for scientists, technicians and experts, in the area of conservation and restoration of monuments, to present their work and exchange their ideas and experiences. During the Patras 2010 Symposium, new opportunities shall be presented to deepen the existing knowledge base regarding the problems of cultural heritage.
